Feeding the Hungry

No One Should Go to Bed Hungry

Every day in Guatemala, children wake up not knowing if they will eat. Elderly men and women, many of whom have spent their lives working the land, go without meals because poverty has left them with nothing. Hunger is not just physical suffering. It robs children of the ability to learn, grow, and dream, and it strips the elderly of their dignity and strength.

In the rural communities where TFC Ministry serves, food insecurity is a daily reality. Malnutrition stunts development in young children and weakens those whose bodies are already fragile. But hunger is not inevitable, and with your help, it doesn't have to be.

What We Do

Through our Feeding the Hungry program, TFC Ministry works alongside local Guatemalan pastors and community leaders to bring hot, nutritious meals to those who need it most, children and vulnerable adults alike.

Each week, our teams distribute meals to many families, reaching a lot of children and elderly individuals who would otherwise go without. These aren't just meals. They are moments of dignity, care, and the love of Christ made tangible.

We believe that feeding the body opens the door to feeding the soul. As we serve, we share God's love and the hope that comes through Jesus Christ, because every person who sits at our table is made in His image and deserves to be seen, valued, and nourished.

The Need Is Real

  • Nearly 50% of children in Guatemala suffer from chronic malnutrition, one of the highest rates in the Western Hemisphere (update with current figure)
  • In rural villages, elderly residents are among the most overlooked and underserved
  • A single nutritious meal can make the difference between a child who can focus in school and one who cannot
  • Many families earn less than $2 to $3 per day, leaving little for food after basic survival needs

How You Can Help

Every gift, large or small, is multiplied through the faithful work of our local partners and volunteers on the ground. Together, we are answering the call of Scripture: "For I was hungry and you gave me food." Matthew 25:35
